Students Table Clinic Information

Table Clinic Guidelines

A table clinic is an informal table top demonstration/presentation using oral communication and visual media to present useful and timely information in an original and interesting manner. The clinic must be shown completely in no more than 5-7 minutes and may be repeated many times during the two hours, with opportunity for dialogue with attendees.

There will be two table clinics this year: 9-10 a.m. and 10:30-11:30 a.m. A list will be posted at the PDHA Registration Desk as to which session the table clinic will be presented.

Clinicians must:

  1. Register for the PDHA meeting
  2. Wear professional business attire (not clinical)
  3. Confine the clinic to the 3-foot by 6-foot table top
  4. No more than three clinicians may present at one table
  5. Limit their presentation to 5-7 minutes.
  6. Have a minimum of 75 handouts which contain the following information:
  7. Not use sound devices of any kind

    a) Name(s) of presenter(s).
    b) Title of the clinic.
    c) Dental hygiene affiliation (school or component).
    d) Bibliography.
    e) Overview of presentation information.

  8. Not use any advertising matter, commercial promotion or solicitation of sales of any type.
  9. Not use patient or live models for treatment or demonstration.

Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place student table clinic presenters. Members of ADHA may present a table clinic but are note eligible to receive awards.
